The Center values the continuous advanced studying of our members. We are now partnering with HKUST to provide members of the Center the opportunity to take a 2-year Master degree with full scholarship every year in research topics related to the Center's research areas. 

Members will be able to generate an advanced proficiency in mixed methods of research, develop multi-dimensional perspectives and innovative problem-solving skills to existing and emerging problems, and develop distinctive skill mix that enables them to communicate effectively with people of different levels and disciplines within and across organizations.

We believe that upon completion of the program, the skill sets acquired can support our members in their further development and building their own business.

Master of Philosophy in Individualized Interdisciplinary Program (Research Area), or IIP, is a program under HKUST Interdisciplinary Programs Office (IPO).

IIP allow students to create their own bachelor and research postgraduate degree programs that best suit their own intellectual interests and passion. It explores new pedagogy to develop students’ core competencies of fusing knowledge and know-how from different fields to bring multiple perspectives to the task of changing the world for the better.

How to Apply

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Applicants should:

  • Obtained or will obtain a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution, or an approved equivalent qualification, on or before August 2021.

  • Fulfill English Language requirements with one of the following proficiency attainments:

    • TOEFL-iBT: 80

    • TOEFL-pBT: 550

    • TOEFL-Revised paper-delivered test: 60 (total scores for Reading, Listening and Writing sections)

    • IELTS (Academic Module): Overall score: 6.5 and All sub-score: 5.5

    • Applicants are not required to present TOEFL or IELTS score if

      • their first language is English, or

      • they obtained the bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an institution where the medium of instruction was English
