Seminar: Transforming Engineering Productivity: How Gen AI and CMOS MEMS are Shaping the Future of Robotics in Construction

On 10 February, HKCRC successfully hosted a seminar titled "Transforming Engineering Productivity: How Gen AI and CMOS MEMS are Shaping the Future of Robotics in Construction", delivered by Prof. Yi-Kuen LEE and Dr. Hadi TAVAKKOLI.
Prof. Yi-Kuen LEE shared that we are currently in the era of AI 2.0. With the advancement of AI technology and hardware, the technological developments expected in the next 50 to 100 years might be realized within just 5 to 10 years, particularly in the field of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Furthermore, He discussed the future direction of construction robotics, emphasizing how AI and sensor technologies are making construction robots increasingly intelligent and automated, enabling them to perform more complex and precise tasks.
Following the presentation, the audience engaged in active interaction and discussion with the speakers on the application of large AI models in practical fields such as construction, as well as innovations in AI technology. Prof. Yi-Kuen LEE expressed his anticipation for deeper integration of AI technology in the construction field in the future, aiming to achieve innovative breakthroughs.
The HKCRC is committed to advancing the development of intelligent construction technology, integrating cutting-edge technologies to inject new vitality into the future of the construction industry.
