The Center is seeking highly enthusiastic, self-motivated, dynamic, and academically excellent candidates to fill several Research Engineer/Associate Research Engineer/Assistant Research Engineer positions in Engineering.

Currently, the Center is conducting projects in but not limited to the following directions:
• Robotics SLAM
• Robotics Motion Control
• Robotics Decision Planning
• Machine Learning, Image Processing, Computer Vision
• Multi Sensor Fusion (Visual, Lidar, IMU, etc.)
• Robotics Mechanical Structure Design
• Embedded System

JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Conceptualize product ideas, design and develop new product/ product range, trials, and implementation.
2. Be responsible for characterizing and testing samples from lab-scale to process stages and evaluating the material performance.
3. Responsible for R&D to achieve project milestones, writing up project reports, and giving slide presentations from time to time.
4. Work closely with supervisor, project sponsors, and other project-related parties.
5. Be innovative to explore the opportunity of cooperation with industry partners.
6. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Master of Philosophy/Master of Science or Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of engineering experience or professional technical background related to robotics R&D.2. Experience in conducting on-site investigations and analysing data.
3. Very strong problem definition and solving skills.
4. Very good communication skills of spoken and written English, and Cantonese / Mandarin.
5. Self-motivated, have entrepreneurial spirit, good responsibility and strong problem-solving skills, and is able to work independently and collaboratively.

Salary is highly competitive of international standards and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract, and is renewable subject to performance, mutual agreement, and funding availability.
