HKCRC Participated in the Third Conference of the International Science, Technology, and Innovation Forum of Boao Forum for Aisa

The Third Conference of the International Science, Technology and Innovation Forum (ISTIF) of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) was successfully held in Zhuhai, China. The third ISTIF entitled “Innovation Ushers Green Development, A Better Life Empowered by Sci-tech”. Dr. Yuen Yixing, the senior researcher of Hong Kong Center for Construction Robotics (HKCRC), participated in this conference as one of the sharing guests.

During the conference, Dr. Yuan shared the innovation path at HKCRC. At HKCRC, researchers from diversity background (including civil engineering, artificial intelligent, mechanical engineering) cooperate together to investigate the market demanding, technical feasibility and create products.

Besides, Dr. Yuan introduced the latest research outcome of HKCRC, including Smart photo shooting measuring device, colored 3D scanner, transportation robot, installation robot, floor sanding robot.

Dr. Yuan said that it is currently difficult to recruit talents in the civil engineering industry, but under the HKCRC innovation path, many researchers with different backgrounds are willing to participate in the construction industry and work with civil engineers to help the industry transform and upgrade.
