HKCRC Participated in HKUST's Unicorn Day

On May 31, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)'s annual Unicorn Day returned with an expanded scope and scale,which attracted over 1,000 distinguished guests to campus, including 6 legislators, representatives from 9 consulates general, as well as many business leaders, government officials, potential investors, and other key stakeholders. 

HKCRC participated in the event with Rebar Tying Robot, IoT Smart Flatness Meter, Intelligent Tower Crane, and AI Binocular Photogrammetry. At HKCRC's booth, staff introduced a variety of construction technology products and their solutions to the attending guests.

On the “Investment Pitching Session”, project leader of Rebar Tying Robot showed the investors the robot's product features, applicable scenarios, and so on.

The event also recognized 34 HKUST projects funded in the latest round of Technology Start-up Support Scheme for Universities (TSSSU)*. Ensightful Limited of HKCRC was successfully selected as one of the projects. These funds are aimed at providing the research teams with new support in transforming their R&D outcomes and deepening collaboration with government, industry, university and research partners. 

The Unicorn Day provided a platform for many technology start-ups to communicate and showcase to the outside world, enlivening the innovation atmosphere and promoting the development of science and technology in Hong Kong. HKCRC, as one of the key forces in the field of construction technology, has been actively grasping the opportunities of science and technology and will be promoting the transformation of the construction industry with more and better technological products.
