In recent years, the Middle East has been accelerating its push into the AI industry. Leveraging its advantages in energy, capital, and geographical location, the United Arab Emirates is actively driving the development of artificial intelligence and the digital economy, positioning itself as a globally significant hub for AI infrastructure.

Among these initiatives, the Abu Dhabi Data Center project stands out as one of the most closely watched AI infrastructure projects in the world today.

The project has secured support from major technology companies including OpenAI, G42, Oracle, NVIDIA, Cisco, and SoftBank. With a planned total capacity of 5GW and a site area of approximately 26 square kilometers, it is set to become one of the most significant AI computing hubs in the Middle East in the years ahead.

Large-scale AI data centers impose higher demands on construction practices.

Compared with other types of building projects, AI data center construction is typically characterized by tight schedules, fast-paced workflows, and密集 cross-operations. Such projects commonly adopt a "steel structure frame + internal partition wall panel" construction method, which involves a substantial volume of partition wall panel installation.

Traditional manual installation of wall panels, however, carries high safety risks and demands significant physical labor. The continuous heavy manual work largely constrains overall construction efficiency.

Intelligent Construction Robots Empowering Infrastructure Development

The CAMPA-600 wall panel installation robot, developed by JOYI Technology, has now been officially deployed at the Abu Dhabi Data Center project site, where it is actively participating in the installation of internal wall panels.

Designed for large-scale wall panel installation, the CAMPA-600 can complete the installation of a single wall panel in as little as 5 minutes – significantly improving construction efficiency. It features wireless remote control, which minimizes high-risk manual handling operations. With just 1 machine and 2 workers, a complete on-site installation team can be formed, helping to reduce labor costs.
